To maintain the peaceful
atmosphere that our guests have come to expect, no personal watercraft
(jet skis, waverunners, etc.) can be used on site.

Spring
and Fall at Pine Bay
Here are some
reasons why we think you should seriously
consider a off season vacation with us. - Openings -- Most of
our customers repeat year after year, and
if you are new, it can be hard to get in at peak times. You stand a
much better chance in May, June, Sept, and Oct.
- Rates -- Our in season rates are reasonable, but our Spring
and Fall rates are even more
so!
- Peace & Quiet -- While we do our best to insure that it
is always peaceful at PBF,
you will find that out on the water, on the roads, and in town, the
Spring and Fall are generally a more relaxed time.
- Bugs -- If insects are a big issue with you, we would
recommend a Fall stay with us for an almost bug-free atmosphere.
- Pets -- Can't bear to leave Fido at home? Well-mannered pets
are most welcome at PBF in the off season!
- Fishing -- Fishing is great in the Thousand Islands at any
time, but we would
recommend Spring for perch and pike, and Fall for bass and muskie.
- Flexability -- Want to come on Tuesday and leave the
following Friday? We will do our best to accommodate those kind of
bookings off season, in season I'm afraid it is strictly Saturday to
Saturday.

About the Thousand Islands/St. Lawrence River.
Granite shorelines and islands covered with pines, surrounded by some
of the clearest, fish filled fresh water to be found anywhere; that is
what has made the Thousand Islands popular with vacationers from all
over for more than 100 years. The following are some links to find out
more about the area, and things to do here.
Things to do @ PBF
- Fishing - Some of the best
fishing in the country for bass (small mouth & large mouth),
northern pike, yellow perch, panfish, and, of course - muskie!
- Boating - Tour the Islands,
visit Boldt Castle, go to town for pizza and ice cream,
or go to a golf course that can only be reached by boat. Water ski or
wakeboard, sail, what ever you like to do afloat, it's all there, right
in front of your cottage.
Don't have your own boat? Feel free to use our canoe, our Sunfish
sailboat, or one of our
rowboats. Want power? For a nominal charge rent one of our outboard
motors.
- Diving - Our crystal clear
water makes the Thousand Islands one of the best fresh
water diving locations in the country. Pine Bay's location, within view
of the sunken
steamer "Keystorm" dive site, makes for an ideal base camp for any
underwater exploration of the area.
- Hiking - We are currently
developing a system of multi-use trails
to make it easier for our
guests to enjoy more of our 250 acres of property. Feel free to
explore, to observe the wildlife, or to take your tackle and fish off
our shoreline.
- Relaxing
- Maybe best of all
is to just sit back and watch the river flow!
V. cool links
- What's the
weather like up here on the river right now?
- We think Pine Bay Farm is as
pretty as a
picture, and so does noted St. Lawrence River artist, Michael
Ringer.
